It would be good to bring pictures of cakes you like, color swatches, your invitation, and anything else that you would like to incorporate into the design of your cake.
Please remember a consultation does not guarantee your date.
Appointments are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sunday afternoons. Saturday appointments are only available as my delivery schedule permits.
Please arrive on time or give at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule, otherwise the tasting will be $25.

Pricing
Prices are based upon design and the number of servings.
Cakes iced and filled with buttercream start at $4/serving.
Fondant starts at $5/serving
Each tier consists of 2 layers of cake and 1 layer of filling.
Premium filling flavors are available and will incur an additional charge. Please see my flavors page for some delicious suggestions. Your cake may have multiple cake flavors and fillings at no extra charge and other cake shapes (square, petal, hexagon) at no additional fee.
I offer a 10% discount if the Bride or Groom is a First Responder (police/fire/rescue)
Referrals
Are always welcome!! You will receive 5% off your wedding cake for every bride you refer who then books her wedding with me. Referal discount deadline is the date when your balance is due.
Deposit & Contract
A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the cake cost and a signed contract is required to hold your date and place you on the baking schedule.
The balance plus any equipment rentals is due 3 weeks prior to your event along with your final decision on servings, cake flavors and design.
Payments may be made by cash, check or Paypal Invoice if you wish to use a credit card.
If balance is not received by the date indicated on your contract, then order is deemed cancelled by customer and no cake will be made.
Servings
Are based on industry standard 1x2x4 inch pieces.
Here's a chart you may view to help in the decision for how much cake you need to order. Many in the industry suggest 60- 75% of the number of guests invited adjusted up if mostly family and in-town friends but adjusting a bit lower if a large number are out of town guests. This decision is entirely up to you.
Top Tier
Your top tier is counted in the price but not necessarily in the total servings in case you do not wish it served your guests.
First Anniversary Cake
As a thank you to all my couples, I offer a complimentary First Anniversary cake that you may eat instead of frozen, year-old cake.
Please contact me at least 2 wks prior to your date as I will not be contacting you since people often move or change their contact info.
Pick-up must be no later than 1 wk after anniversary date.
Offer good for couples living in the area only or if you will be visiting at that time as I am unable to ship.
Cake will be a two layer 6" round, your choice of vanilla or chocolate and iced in white buttercream. No substitutions or exceptions please.
Availability
All my cakes are made to order with close attention to detail therefore I do limit the number of orders I take each week.
Please place your order early to guarantee I will have your date available: 4-6 months or even earlier for the more popular dates.
Weddings booked 1 month or less before event date are considered a rush order and will incur a rush fee of 10%, payable in full by cash only.
Equipment Rental
A refundable deposit is required for the rental of all non-disposible cake equipment (pillars, separator plates, custom bases etc).
The amount of deposit is determined by items used in your cake and is refunded upon the return of of said items in good condition within 5 business days from your event.
This deposit is separate and does not apply to the cost of your cake.
Delivery and Set Up
Delivery determined by Yahoo Maps from me to your event location at the rate of $1/per mile.
No additional fee to set up.
Flowers
I will place for free fresh or silk flowers, greenery, ribbon and topper that you provide.
Please work with your florist to make sure any fresh flowers to be used on the cake are free of pesticides and sprays.
Fresh stems and wires should never be incerted into the cake for food safety issues.

Cake Table Tips
Please have a level and sturdy table set up before the delivery time stated on the contract. Remember cakes are heavy!
It's a good idea to think about the placement of the cake table. You want all of your guests to be able to enjoy it and not near anything unsightly (i.e. garbage cans, doors to restrooms, etc.)
Cakes do not fair well in direct sunlight, near air ducts, audio speakers, doors, windows, a lit fireplace or under trees where things may fall on the cake.
Tablecloths look so much better if pressed for your once-of-a-lifetime pictures. Items such as cake plateaus and stands, floral arranements, table runners, gems, twinkle lights or votives also make for a beautiful presentation.
Cake Cutting Tips
I am not available to cut and serve your cake, however, I can provide you with a cake cutting chart should you require one. Here is an excellent link to demonstrate an easy way to cut your cake.
The best advice I have heard from many wedding professionals and has proved very true is to cut the cake earlier than later. After the bride and groom come into the reception, they can have their first dance, then the cake cutting ceremony. Dinner may then be served or the buffet opened. The catering staff can cut and plate the cake to then serve to your guests as they finish their dinner. You want all of your guests to be able to enjoy their expected piece of cake for dessert. If you wait until too late then many of your guests will have gone home, which is one of the main reason for leftover cake.
Other Cakes
Please be advised that I do not allow other cakes to be served along with mine due to quality control and liability insurance. I have worked very hard to build my reputation and if there are cakes from other bakers present I will remove my cake with no refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Cancellation Policy
If the order is cancelled by the Customer at any time up to and including the 30th day before the delivery date, any money paid, less the non-refundable retainer and any expenses incurred by Cindy's Cakery, llc for their order, will be refunded to Customer.
If an order is cancelled less than 3 weeks before the delivery date no refund will be made, no exceptions.
